Better Listings, operated from Sweden ("we") is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. Contact: betterlistings@outlook.com.
1. Data We Collect
- Account data — email address, display name, optional avatar, encrypted password (or OAuth identifier from Google).
- Usage data — batches you create, photos you upload, AI-generated listings, credit transactions, support messages.
- Technical data — IP address, device/browser identifiers, log timestamps, error reports.
- Payment data — handled by Paddle (see "Sharing" below); we do not store card details.
2. Why We Use It
- To create and operate your account (legal basis: contract).
- To provide the photo cleanup and listing-generation features (contract).
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents (legitimate interests).
- To improve the Service via aggregated/anonymised analytics (legitimate interests).
- To respond to support requests (contract / legitimate interests).
- To send transactional and important service emails (contract). Marketing emails only with your consent.
3. Sharing
We share data with:
- Hosting & backend providers (Lovable Cloud / Supabase) — to store your account, batches and photos.
- AI model providers (via Lovable AI Gateway) — your uploaded photos and listing notes are sent to AI models to perform photo cleanup and generate listings.
- Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International Transfers
Your data may be processed outside the UK/EEA. Where this is the case, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions).
5. Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Batches and uploaded photos are retained while your account exists; you may delete batches at any time. After account closure we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g. tax records).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to: access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, port it, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. UK/EEA users have the full set of GDPR rights and we will respond within 1 month.

7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and audit logging.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies (for authentication and security) and minimal analytics. We do not run advertising cookies. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
